Volkswagen recalls nearly 2.9 million cars worldwide over risk of steering failure

Volkswagen recalled 2.86 million VW brand vehicles built between 2013 and 2024 as a 'precautionary measure,' said a company spokesman, after the automaker discovered a 'corrosion problem' that could cause bolts to fracture.
