Bhabisara’s blood is so rare, most people have never heard of it. Soon it could be grown in this Brisbane lab

It takes three weeks and costs more than $70,000 to grow a few teaspoons of blood in a lab. A project between the University of Queensland and the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood hopes to see that change.
