Hengqin foreign trade surges 58% to record 48.5B yuan, passing full-year 2025 total in eight months

Foreign trade through the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone soared to an all-time high of 48.5 billion yuan (about $7.2 billion) in the first eight months of 2026, up 57.8% from the same period last year, Gongbei Customs reported Tuesday.
