I thought Dubai was the safest place in the world... I can't believe I was so foolish. So many are lured by the glamorous lifestyle but the night I was attacked, and what happened when I tried to get help, prove its dark side

When I first moved to Dubai, I was an early adopter of the city's 'Wow, it's so safe here!' mindset. Looking back, I feel angry that I ever assumed low rates of petty crime meant lack of serious crime too.
