‘Don’t let violence win’: Former MP’s plea as community rallies for Helen Haines

Former independent MP and the predecessor of Helen Haines, Cathy McGowan, has opened up about the "enormous relief" she's felt after finding out her close friend is alive. Haines has had both legs amputated and remains in a critical condition at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
