Pope to hold giant mass on Place de la Concorde and Champs-Elysées

The first US pope is on a four-day official visit to France. After two days in Paris, he will head south to Lourdes where, according to Catholic tradition, the Virgin Mary appeared in a grotto to a peasant girl in 1858.
