India steps up space ambitions, eyes crewed missions and space station

India is preparing to take a major step in its space programme, as it moves closer to independently sending astronauts into orbit, while pursuing longer-term ambitions for its own space station and crewed missions to the moon. Its Gaganyaan programme is targeting its first uncrew
